Luke 2:8-20 and John 10:11-18

Jesus is the Good Shepherd who became a lamb. Christmas is about the good news that the Son of God took on flesh and came to rescue us.

John 10:1-11 Jesus is the only way “in” to eternal life, but He’s not just the way in. In Christ we find eternal life AND abundant life.

John 15:1-6

John 14:1-6 Jesus is bigger than our troubles. Jesus is preparing a place for His followers. Jesus is the way to a right relationship with God the Father.

John 11:17-27 Death is the most powerful thing on this planet until it's not. Jesus told Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life." His power over death is a reminder that life on this earth is temporal and minute compared to the magnitude of His glory.

John 7:1-2, John 7:37-39, John 8:12-20 - Most of our lives are ordinary, "in the meantime" kind of days. We often talk about the beginning of the Christian life, or the hope we have for the future, but what about all of these "in-between" days?

John 6:1-15, 25-40 - Real satisfaction in life doesn't come from something Jesus gives us, but from Jesus Himself.

Exodus 3:1-15; John 8:51-59 - What knowledge could be more fundamental to our lives than the knowledge of the One who made us? But how can we really know God? And what if what we learn of Him doesn’t seem like good news to us?

Parenting is hard, right? But I’m the words of Paul, “we parent as those with hope.” Well, while those aren’t the exact words of Paul in 1 Thessalonians, it is certainly a biblical truth for us parents—we have a hope! A hope in the Lord meets us in our parental imperfections and further reminds us, that this hope we have is not simply for us; this is a hope for all generations! But how can we seek to instill that hope in our children? What can we do as parents to try and have our children place their hope in “the glorious deeds of the LORD.” Psalms 78 & Deuteronomy 6 seek to answer those questions for us.

Colossians 3:1-14 - The Church is meant to be a counter-culture, showing the world a better way. What does that way look like?
