John 20:1-18 - The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of Christianity. In order for us to begin to grasp its' significance, we must see that it is literal, powerful, and personal.

1 Corinthians 1:18 (focal verse); 1:1-9; 1:18-31; 6:9-11 - The message of the Cross of Christ is the foundation of Christianity. God through Christ reconciled this lost world. In today's message we will marvel at the glory of God on the cross.

Jonah 1:1-2; 4:11; 4:2; Exodus 34:5-7; Romans 3:21-26; Luke 23:33-34 - The book of Jonah presents us with a really important question: how can the mercy of God and the justice of God coexist? In other words, if God is going to "do something" about the evil in the world, what does that mean for people who have done evil, like us?

Jonah 3:10-4:11 - the book of Jonah has a very surprising ending. Jonah's preaching to Nineveh seemed to be incredibly effective: the people listened to what he said, and turned from their evil. We would expect to read about Jonah returning home rejoicing, but instead we see that he is furious. Why was he so angry, and what can his story teach us about our own anger?

Jonah 3:1-10 - After Jonah went to the Ninevites with God's message they responded radically. God's call to them and their response can teach us much about our own day, and how God wants us to respond to Him.

After Jonah experiences God's grace firsthand in the belly of the fish, he finally goes to Ninevah. What can his half-hearted missionary approach and the Ninevite's response to God's judgment teach us about our own lives?

Jonah 1:17-2:10 - When Jonah reached the lowest point of his life, he found something surprising: the grace of God. We'll find God's grace there too.

Jonah 1:4-16 - Jonah's interaction with the sailors in the storm shows us that sometimes the people who seem to "know God the best" can represent Him the worst.

Jonah 1:1-16 - Like Jonah, all of us will encounter storms of some kind in our lives. Though none of us want to experience them, the storms of life teach us things that nothing else can.

Jonah 1:1-3; 4:1-3 - Throughout the book of Jonah, we see the sin of Jonah as he runs from God's plan. We see God's grace in that, despite Jonah's sin, he is chased by God and shown grace.
