How is this to play out in the life of a believer practically? As it turns out, John reveals there is much behind the concept and practice of loving others. 1 John 3 shows that while this practice ultimately points others further to Christ, it is a task most uncomfortable and counter-cultural. A life centered on loving others however, John reminds his readers, is a life filled with joy.
