Matthew 17:14-27 - In the face of the world's suffering, followers of Jesus will sometimes fail, but Jesus never will.

Psalm 137 - Almost half of the Psalms deal with lament in one way or another. When properly understood, these Psalms are incredibly helpful to us. Among other things, they show us what to do with our sorrow and why we can have hope in the midst of it.

Psalm 84 - All of us long for something more. We have, it seems, a hunger in our hearts for something that nothing on Earth can fully satisfy. Psalm 84 teaches us that the Lord Himself is the One who meets these longings of our hearts.

Psalm 32 - Forgiveness brings delight into the space where guilt is often found.
