Shoremates,

If you want a copy of my notes, updated weekly, go to www.thelifenavigator.com, sign up, and you'll get access.  If you love tea, be sure to stop by www.nauticalteas.com.

Action items for today.

  1.  It’s time to clean up the house. Whichever the vice may be that you want to get ride of, when you are not feeling tempted go and clear your house of anything that would tempt you to go back to the bad habit.  Then think of what you really want from that vice and swap something from this.  For example, if you love going to the pub to hang out with friends, you may actually be going for connection and calorie heavy beer comes with it.  You’d get even more powerful connection if you volunteer at a nonprofit.
  2. Decide whether you’re going to slowly go into the water, or jump right in.  If it’s a bad habit you’ve had for decades, you may decide you’re ready to just stop cold turkey.  Or, maybe you’re more like Darren who decided to cut back on caffeine by slowly mixing in decaf, and then switching to decaf tea over the course of a month.
  3. Decide what you are going to celebrate.  Shoremates, this is an extremely powerful action.  For paying off debt, this is why the snowball method is so impactful.  By feeling the sense of accomplishment and allowing your brain to get pleasure, it provides momentum in wanting more and more results.

Shoremates, I hope that this episode was valuable to you. Each book we choose has to have the potential to change your life in a positive way, and I highly recommend adding this book to your bookshelf.

Always, always remember
