Action Items

  1. Who are the 5 people you spend the most time with?  What are their main characteristics both positive and negative.  After doing this, ask yourself if that list is ok with you and where you want to go.
  2. Where do you want to be 5 years from now.  Picture it in crystal clear, HD vision.  Where do those kind of people hang out?  Take action to start hanging out with these kind of people.  There is a caveat here.  Because these people are further down the road than you, you’ll have to show that you’re humble and hungry to get better. The most successful are generally the most generous. They are also picky who they show their generosity to, as it is a massive gift.  Sometimes you won’t be able to spend time with them, so get creative.  Do they have podcasts or books you can listen to?  Jim Rohn is Darren’s mentor, yet 99% of the instruction received was not face to face.
  3. Do you need a change in environment?  If it’s physical, what can you do to be in a cleaner, more organized place. If it’s mental, try writing down literally everything that comes to your head that needs to be done, and then organize it from there.

Shoremates, I hope that this episode was valuable to you. Each book we choose has to have the potential to change your life in a positive way, and I highly recommend adding this book to your bookshelf.

Always, always remember
