Support the showEwan Irvine continues his journey through the strange and unusual. In this episode he speaks with medium, tutor and best-selling author, Karen Frances McCarthy.
Karen grew up steeped in the Celtic mysticism and spiritual traditions of Ireland. As a child, she communicated with spirits. As an adult, her desire to be of service evolved into a passion for social justice and the pursuit of truth, which led her to a career as a major media political journalist and an embedded Iraq war correspondent. A tragic loss became the catalyst that brought her back to spirituality, particularly Eastern philosophy, and working with the mediumistic faculty she’s had since childhood.
She is passionate about writing for mindfulness and spiritual transformation. Her best-selling book, Till Death Don’t Us Part: A True Story of Awakening to Love After Life (White Crow Books, 2020) is a true and transformational story of a former journalist’s extraordinary journey from scepticism, through tragedy, to awaken to the knowledge that her dead fiancé is communicating from the hereafter. It has received considerable media attention and was a #1 New Release on Amazon.
Listen now as Ewan and Karen discuss her colourful life and how Spirit was always present whether she was aware of it or not.
Ewan Irvine stays closer to home in this episode as he interviews Susan Cohen, director of The Wee Book Company. They discuss Scotland's most famous bard, Robert Burns.
Burns' work often has supernatural themes as you'll know from Address to the Deil, The Vision and of course, Tam O' Shanter. In 2020 Susan published, The Wee Book O'Burns, which is a series of quotes from the bard's work. As with all Wee Book Company publications, its intent is to uplift and inspire readers with a Scottish twist.
Ewan has known Susan for a long time. He even wrote for The Wee Book Company - a title called, Scotland's Witches and Wizards. Listen in as they reminisce about old times and revisit some of their own supernatural experiences.
Support the showEwan Irvine's journey through the strange continues with a discussion about reincarnation and 'soul power'.
In this episode, he interviews Audrey Yeardley. Audrey is an intuitive tarot reader and astrologer. Her intent is to guide others towards the paths that best serve them mentally, spiritually and physically. She uses her own intuition as a navigator of the myriad of possibilities - continuously seeking hidden knowledge and better ways of Being.
She has a keen interest in the path of the soul. What do we refer to when we discuss the soul? Is it something that carries on after our bodies die? Does it reincarnate? How does that tie in with what is known about genetics?
Audrey gives us a lot to think about.
