In this episode of The Concert Attender Podcast, Riley Wheeler sits down with Jack Jordan, the newest member of the LeFevre Quartet, on the day his joining the group was officially announced.
Jack shares how a conversation at the National Quartet Convention with Mike LeFevre opened the door for him to travel with the legendary quartet, and how that opportunity quickly turned into the next chapter of his ministry.
Along the way, Jack reflects on his early years growing up in church, learning piano and singing at just five years old, and the many influences that shaped his love for gospel music — including artists like The Statesmen, The Blackwood Brothers, and The Imperials.
Jack also talks about his time learning at singing schools like the Alabama School of Gospel Music, studying under pianists such as Tracy Phillips and Jack Clark, and his first experience traveling in gospel music with the Troy Burns Family.
The conversation also touches on life on the road with the LeFevre Quartet, funny travel stories, bass singing influences, and what it means to represent the next generation of Southern Gospel music at just nineteen years old.
If you enjoy Southern Gospel music, the stories behind the artists, and conversations about faith and ministry on the road, you’ll enjoy this conversation.
