The Concert Goers

Surprise! A bonus episode where we have a little bit of fun talking about our dream festival lineups.

Elton John has performed his last-ever concerts in Canada, and both G and Jess were at those last shows to say farewell one more time.

Lizzo might just be the most genuine artist out there these days. Not only is she an amazingly talented singer, rapper and flutist, she is also a terrific role model to all those that look up to here. On this episode, Jess goes out of her comfort zone and talks about how seeing Lizzo live has turned her into a lifelong fan.

The last time Rage Against The Machine performed in Canada was at the end of the last century. In reality, that's only 23 years, but it seems like a lifetime ago. On this episode, we talk about seeing them at the Ottawa Bluesfest on their Public Service Announcement Tour.

This episode contains a heavy dose of 90s nostalgia. She's got one of the most powerful and unique voices in rock history, and no conversation about music from that decade is complete without mentioning Alanis Morissette. Listen in as we break down the Jagged Little Pill 25th Anniversary Tour, and why that album continues to resonate even after all these years.

The Killers remain one of rock 'n roll's best kept secrets. Often underrated and under appreciated, they are one of the greatest modern-day rock acts alive. On this episode, we're talking about The Killers' Imploding The Mirage Tour, which has us both still buzzing, and why you shouldn't miss out on seeing them live.

As Canadians, it feels like a right of passage to see Bryan Adams live in concert, and his 'So Happy It Hurts' Tour does not disappoint. On this episode, Jess and G  talk about his concert in Montreal, how radio played in instrumental part in cementing Bryan Adams' legacy in rock and roll history, and the legendary loudness of Montreal crowds.

Are the Eagles still the Eagles without Glenn Frey and Don Felder? It all depends on who you ask. On this episode, we talk about the Eagles' Hotel California tour stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, what Vince Gill has added to the band, and if spending a small fortune on seeing a band for possibly the last time, is worth it.

On this episode, G takes us on a road trip to the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City to see the even more legendary Billy Joel. We talk about his MSG residency, the setlist, a tribute in honour of John Lennon's Birthday, and which massive hit we both could live without.

What is the proper way to behave at a concert? As much as it varies from genre to genre, it's really all about the individual. Are you a good  concert goer, or do you suffer from poor concert etiquette? On this farcical episode, we talk about some of the worst behaviours we've seen at the many concerts we've attended.
