Today's new episode is taking us back to 1978.  It was a beautiful time to world history-  Kiss was the biggest band in the world and there wasn’t a cellphone in sight.  1999’s Detroit Rock City was a major flop when it was released but it certainly found a cult following.  It’s a buddy movie.  A road-trip movie.  A coming of age movie.  And it’s all about KISS!!!  Sounds like a perfect movie right?  Join us as we dissect it with a modern eye to see if it still holds up.

This is a re-issue from June 6, 2021. It's an all-time classic and we felt the need to play it again. We go back and break out the sugar and syrups laced libations that our childhood palettes can still taste to this day. For better or for worse. crack open a surge or jolt cola. twist off a secret code with you pepsi blue, but be careful you dont punch a hole through the back of your capri-sun!

Today's new episode is taking us back to 2001's Vanilla Sky. We’re all mainlining Radiohead, questioning reality, and wondering if cryogenic lucid dreaming might be better than actual life. Is this an A+ sci‑fi romance that hits harder the older you get, or an overcooked vanity project with a killer soundtrack? When does the dream actually start, and does the “it was all a dream” twist ruin the movie or secretly make it great? Would you choose a perfectly curated forever with your soulmate, or jump off the building and wake up 150 years in the future with nothing? We tackle all this and more!

This week we're talking about the food items in movies that made us want to reach through the screen and take a bite. Sometimes a piece of pizza just looks so ridiculously good that it becomes as memorable as the movie itself. We're counting down some of our favorites, arguing over which ones we'd actually want to eat, which ones probably aren't nearly as good as they look, and why filmmakers are somehow able to make a simple bag of burgers look absolutely incredible. It's a fun one that had us unexpectedly hungry the entire time.

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls -  is this a better than the original or a lazy, cash-grab sequel that Jim Carrey tried to tank on purpose?  Isr the raccoon “cliffhanger” opener is actually better than Stallone’s Cliffhanger?  Does Ace crosses the line from “weird guy” to straight-up unlikable and does the rhino birth scene belong in the all-time physical comedy hall of fame?   Is this truly just a “kid movie” carried by Carrey’s energy, or does it deserve more credit than the critics ever gave it?  We answer all of this and more!

On this brand new episode, we dive into 2000’s The Patriot and ask if this is peak “Mel Gibson dad-on-a-warpath” or just Revolutionary War Braveheart-lite. We break down whether Jason Isaacs’ Tavington is an all-time hateable villain and if Heath Ledger’s Gabriel is actually the real patriot of this story. Also, we answer important questions like- why is Charlotte single and is their romance even believable?  And could you imagine being “the flute guy” in a war band? Join us!

Get on the bus with the boys because we finally reviewed Slap Shot.  In this episode we ask the big questions: is Reggie Dunlop actually the hero of this story, or a complete piece of shit who never grows up? Is Slap Shot the greatest hockey movie ever made, or does the lack of actual hockey knock it down a peg? Are the Hanson Brothers as epic as you remember?  Why was Ralphie's mom in bed with Reggie Dunlop??
