The long awaited return of Connected World Radio. We stay with the format of giving you news, a tip and a tool.
Today’s news is about Google Maps and it’s integration of Google Local data, now moving to Google+ pages. Get your localized Google data in order because it’s showing up in Maps in a big way.
The tip is to make sure you have a good quality, up to date photo on your social network profiles, especially LinkedIn. I see too many people and businesses especially who either do not have a photo or who have poor quality photos. These profiles represent your business and people are making judgements about you based on the quality of your profile. If you cannot take the time to tend to a particular social network, you should remove your account. A dormant account is worse than not being there at all.
The tool this week is BufferApp, a great service that lets you postdate updates to a variety of social networks. Spacing your content updates out and choosing strategic times to publish is an important part of a good content marketing strategy.
