Businesses and business owners have a right to make a profit
"If you are businessman or businesswoman you have a right to make a profit, you ought to make a profit, but not at the expense of being righteous in the dealing of your business or being Godly in the relationship to your workers and your customers." Dr. Tony Evans
"We have ungodly people today doing business and calling themselves Christians." Dr. Tony Evans
Corporate Greed -
Under the Bush administration we went to war to protect and expand oil reserves for our Saudi Arabian allies
Under the Obama administration predatory lenders who nearly bankrupted the county charging 300 and 400% interest where given Government bailouts when a fifth of the country went bankrupt and defaulted on their loans.
Under the Trump administration the CARES act was supposed to help protect payrolls and benefits of small businesses and their employees and the majority of those funds went to mega corporations, including personal holdings of Trump and other members of the administration
Deuteronomy 25:14-16
"You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small. A full and fair weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. For all who do such things, all who act dishonestly, are an abomination to the LORD your God."
Proverbs 11:1 - A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs 20:10, 23 - Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the LORD. Unequal weights are an abomination to the LORD,
and false scales are not good. Using divers measures is considered an abomination. Divers measures refer to dishonest and unjust business practices, fraud and dishonesty.
