We finish our study of the first of John’s three epistles in our sermon series, Letters to Humanity. It’s been a loving ride thus far, and the conclusion is not to be missed.
This Sunday we get a little closer to completing our examination of the first of John’s three epistles in our sermon series, Letters to Humanity. We will examine how John precisely identifies who Jesus, the Son of God, is. We will also see the importance of elevating the witness of God above the witness of man and John’s impressive confidence concerning eternal life for every believer. Don’t miss it!
We are nearing the end of our examination of John’s first letter in our expository sermon series, Letters to Humanity. Join us as we explore both the demonstration and assumption of the love of God.
We continue our exploration of the fourth chapter of the apostle John’s first letter. Let us discover (or rediscover) together our journey toward the wonderful, love-filled life God has always intended for us.
Dive with us into the fourth chapter of John’s first epistle in the Bible, a set of verses that reveal what God thinks about humanity, as well as how each of us humans should think about humanity. These God-inspired words (that the apostle wrote so many years ago) inspired the title of this sermon series, and they can and should inspire us today toward the wonderful, love-filled life God has always intended for us.
We continue our current sermon series, Letters to Humanity, on the pastoral letters of the apostle John. And yes, we’ll talk some more about love 🙄 (no, we can’t hear about it enough) 😊
Love is the process and the journey of our walk of faith in Christ. We can always (and probably should want to) learn more about the objective reality of love and how it’s revealed in our lives. Let’s discover together what it means to love in real life and the assurance and confidence we can find in it.
“Love is the essence of God and His kingdom.” We have said that every Sunday during our current sermon series, Letters to Humanity, on the pastoral letters of the apostle John. Join us as we continue our careful path exploring the themes, principles, and message of the words that John wrote and that God inspired.
John finishes the second chapter of his first letter continuing to stress the importance of abiding in God. He then segues into the next chapter, outlining the destiny of our relationship with God. In verse 3, John writes “and everyone who had this hope in Him…” Ultimately, our hope is not in heaven or in our own glory in heaven. Our hope is in Him! We must never set our hope on other things; not on romantic relationships, on success, on a mutual fund, on possessions, or even simply just on ourselves. Our only real hope is in Jesus!
This Sunday, we continue our current sermon series exploring the letters of John as he writes about the antichrist attack on the good faith and beliefs of the church. We will learn what this assault on the early church means for us today.
This Sunday, we will continue our expository sermon series of the epistles of John, Letters to Humanity, by covering two sets of three verses found in the second chapter of 1 John. In the first set, he addresses his readers according to their measure of spiritual maturity. In the second, he reveals the primary attack on our relationship with God. The truths found in all six verses can help us mature in our walk with the Lord, giving us a greater resolve to overcome every negative circumstance in life.
