Grace is the unearned, unmerited favor of God. By grace, we are also redeemed. However, grace is also God’s empowerment. As believers, our position (our standing) should be one of power and authority.

We continue our new sermon series, Grace for Today, with the question: Why Grace? To fully answer this simple question, we must define grace and talk about the purpose for our existence as well as our position in Christ.

It is true that God gave His grace to everyone through Jesus Christ, but each of us must still make decisions daily that will activate the grace of God. Join us for a new sermon series, as we discuss activating the gift of God's unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favor in our lives.

And so we arrive at the conclusion of our current sermon series, discover the strength, depth, and fulfillment that you need and desire in the promise of the Father—The Holy Spirit.

This Sunday, we talk about the mysteries of God that are only revealed by the Spirit. We will also discover a gift of intimacy given to us by God through His Holy Spirit. This gift can help us with decision making and receiving clear direction in our lives.

Last Sunday, we continued talking about the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, as well as the four different types of tongues. Join us this week as we focus on having intimacy with the Holy Spirit and the power that is given to every believer to overcome the enemy.

Paul once said to the Corinthians, “Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers… Therefore if the whole church comes together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those who are uninformed or unbelievers, will they not say that you are out of your mind?” If you do not understand that there are different types of tongues, you might think that Paul completely contradicted himself when he wrote this. Join us as we outline the four different types of tongues given by the Holy Spirit.
