Our faith brings blessings to our lives, but our faith is not just for our own good. The purpose of our lives is to reveal God’s glory so others will see and know His goodness.Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, You Gotta Have Faith, with a sermon on Advancing Faith.

Sometimes we are under the impression that faith is an element of our life that is hard to define or too difficult to understand. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” If we are to live by faith, then we must have a good idea of how a life of faith ought to be lived.

The Body of Christ needs a refreshing. We become refreshed when we know how free we are in Christ. When we are truly refreshed in Christ, our steps will be ordered by Him. This means that I never have to worry about what I am going through. Because if I am in Christ, He will always cause me to triumph.

The Body of Christ needs a refreshing. It seems that too many times we grow weary in our faith. You can’t be weary and refreshed at the same time. You can’t walk by faith if you are not refreshed with the real truth written in the Word of God. Religion will always make you feel ill-equipped and impossible to meet some unnecessary criteria. However, when you walk in a Refreshing Faith, you won’t get weary; you will walk in faith and victory like you’ve never experienced before!

You have begun this journey, one of faith in Christ—a relationship that will not only last a lifetime but through all eternity. Is that the end of the story? Do you just settle in, contentedly relaxing in the knowledge that your eternal destiny is secure? Or is there more? Well, of course, there is more—a lot more!Every relationship you have ever begun has potential, but it needs a personal investment to experience its genuine richness and depth. This is equally true of your relationship with your Heavenly Father. If we truly want our faith to go to another level, we must build it through relationship.

In our continuing exploration of faith, we will compare and contrast the stories of Blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood. We’ll discover how the miracle of her healing reveals another level of faith that we can live and walk in. We’ll see how The Touch of Faith takes us from a faith activated to a new and higher level.

How important is faith? It takes faith to even believe in Christ. It takes faith to believe that what God says is always right and true. And it takes faith to trust and walk in that each and every day. However, if your faith doesn’t continue to grow in your walk with Christ, you won’t have the faith to see God’s Kingdom come not only in your life, but in the lives of those around you. This is why it’s vital to have your Faith Activated and never deactivated.

Jesus is the One who conquered the grave after He died for the sins of all humanity on the cross. Jesus is the One who is worthy of our worship and our praise because of the resurrection and the hope He offers all people of all nations. Jesus is the One who gives us meaning and purpose and value and life that is truly life. For all these reasons and many more, we worship and celebrate Jesus this Easter!

“Who do you say that I am?” No human being ever will be faced with a more poignant question with such eternal ramifications than the one Jesus posed to His disciples. Never will there be another question that rivals its gravity and consequence.
