Today we chat with Alex's sister, Cynthia E. Garcia, a young filmmaker and Mag One Media team member about her most recent project. Entirely filmed in the Salinas area, Soldado Raso is a short film that focuses on Mateo Rodriguez, a young Mexican farmworker in 1969 Salinas that enlists for the Vietnam War to prove his worth to his father. 

Since graduating from Biola University's School of Cinema and Media Arts, Cynthia has used her fascination for storytelling and world building to write/direct her own short films and to production design for short films, features, commercials and online content, working with companies like Coca Cola and Zach King.
