The Institute for Emerging Issues introduces a brand new podcast series: “Faith and Community” with host Kylie Foley, Rural Faith Communities Program Manager. We will have deep conversations with faith leaders & partners about topics that matter to faith communities, from mental health and aging, to digital inclusion and food insecurity. We’ll explore how faith leaders are engaging in honest conversations in their communities about values and practices, especially when differences prevents progress or collaboration in rural partnership.
In the first episode of “Faith and Community,” Rev. Allen Stanton, the Executive Director of the Turner Center, discusses his new book "Reclaiming Rural: Building Thriving Rural Congregations" and how rural faith leaders can relate to their congregations and communities.
The Connector podcast explores connections being made across sectors, regions and perspectives resulting in a more vibrant and prosperous North Carolina. To learn more about the Institute for Emerging Issues, visit emergingissues.org.
