Conspiracy theories are like a fine wine: they’re old, pretty boring and they’ll only make you feel good for one night before you start to get a headache. They also attract a bunch of uneducated dolts who thrive on appearing smart in front of those who know less than them. There is nothing productive or useful about conspiracy theories. They simply allow frail little snowflakes who refuse to grow up an opportunity to pretend that they do research, to pretend that their opinions matter, to pretend that they are intelligent when they are just plain dumb. You see them in the comment section on social media every day. They are talking about the next coming Civil War or the next coming celebrity necromancy or the next coming end of the world. Whatever it is, it is just a way for people who are irrelevant to feel relevant, for people who are nothing more than believers to appear intellectual. But there is nothing smart about these people other than the smart phones they use to speak with their equally stupid, equally frail, equally irrelevant friends. People still refuse to shame these people; they continue to argue that there is room for reconciliation and unification with these idiots. They do so to their own detriment. I will not lower myself to the level of infantile selfishness that these people hover at so that I can kiss their boos boos and make them feel special. I will leave that to the so-called rational folks who enjoy dicking around on twitter. You can debate a moron all you like; they will leave the debate even dumber than they were originally. Why? Because you have just provided them with an example of how people will attack their theories and so they will go home, do more stupid research and come out with even more stupid answers for the next time someone challenges them. People only seek out facts that support their theories so this debating does absolutely nothing apart from wasting time. My time is too valuable to waste on dullards. Had we shamed these people early on, had we simply recognized that they are dumb, we would be a lot better off today. There would have been no Trump and you might actually have an infrastructure bill that was a worth a damn. But because you are so hell bent on being empathetic with these people, you are being forced to listen to them ramble on about their idiotic theories in your classrooms. Good old pretend liberal California recently had a teacher in Ventura County scream antivaxx comments and bullshit claims about fixed elections to her middle school students in the classroom. If you think that stupidity means you are inefficient politically, then you have not been paying attention. You become more political when you are dumb because you want everyone else to justify your dumb behavior. The only way to do this is to make others equally dumb as you are. And so I will continue to fight the only holy war in human history, the war against disinformation. I will fight this war with full force and will never, ever apologize to any conspiracy theorist. It is not my fault that they are stupid, nor is it my fault that the government allowed them to become stupid by refusing to pass comprehensive education reform. The capitulation must stop. The cowardice must end. Conspiracy theorists are dumb, stupid, ignorant, moronic, ridiculous, beasts of burden who deserved to be mocked, maligned and ignored before their idiocy causes another pandemic or another mass shooting. So join me and laugh at these chuckle heads before they rewrite history and have the last laugh themselves. It is not just a fringe thing that will go away with time. They get worse with time. Politicians latch onto them and use them to disrupt our health and education systems so that they can create chaos, maintain control or both, as we are now seeing in states like Texas and Florida. You can believe whatever you want. Sure, but you cannot escape the ridicule you will get from me for believing instead of knowing.
