The West's political class likes to think of itself as the leaders of the free world.
But what if we are not even free, and what happens when rulers don't recognize any limits on their power?
Bruce Pardy joins me on The Construct to discuss how social justice turned the law from a shield into a sword, why we have already breached the threshold of two-tier justice, and the paradox of the state, where you can't be free with it and you can't be free without it.
The failure of the West to recognize this inversion of law has led to bureaucratic tyranny. "We live in a managed society," says Bruce.

What is totalitarianism and how does it operate?
There is a commonality between the worst of the 20th century regimes that is not often discussed. From crisis, propaganda, manufactured enemies and two-tier justice to surveillance, institutional capture, atomization and the destruction of competing loyalties, I outline the playbook.
Finally, I look at what happens when truth can no longer travel upward, the warning signs to watch for, and what individuals can do to resist the lie.

Doomberg joins The Construct to explain why the West is losing World War III, as well as why its leaders may be too blinded by their own propaganda to see it.
We discuss the war in Ukraine, the collapse of the postwar order, Europe’s energy crisis, depopulation theories, and the growing power of Russia and China.
From energy and industrial capacity to lateral thinking and global conflict, this conversation examines whether the West’s decline is the result of incompetence or design.
