The Contentment in Christ - Philippians 4:10-20
Preached by: Bro. Joseph Moriones
Christian contentment means you have found everything you need in Christ, and experienced deep satisfaction in God’s provision in every circumstances. In the last section of Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he finds it important to include the topic of contentment. For Paul, contentment is something all Christians need to learn. The Apostle himself learned how to be content in whatever situation and understood that it can only be found in the sufficiency of Christ in his life (vv. 10-13).This kind of contentment will ultimately lead to giving generously for the advancement of the gospel (vv. 14-17). True contentment, then, is understanding that God will provide every needs of those who partner in the ministry of the gospel according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (vv. 18-20).
