As God's people, we sometimes need to make the effort to pause, reflect, and celebrate all the ways that God has delivered us during our life on earth. So, no matter how busy life gets, be sure to take time to thank the Lord for His love that endures forever. Homework for next week: read Joshua 5:13-15

Tonight's lesson is about taking a look at your life and your future and determining what is defining both. Consider the legacy that you will leave behind on this earth....is it one that matters? Homework for next week: Read Joshua 5:1-12.

God often times uses unexpected means to achieve His purpose. We need to always remember that God's grace is sufficient in all things....we are never alone. Homework for next week: Read Joshua 3 & 4.

There is only one way to get to God....through Jesus Christ. We, as Christians, know the love of Jesus through the sacrifice He made for us on the cross. This beautiful sacrifice is now our free gift to eternal life. As Christians, we will still face suffering on this earth. However, our continuous praise to God during the storms of life remind us and witness to those around us that God is in control of all things. Homework for next week: read Joshua 2:1-16.

Outside of family, what do you consider the most precious possession you own? Build your life on the most precious cornerstone - Jesus. Homework for next week: read 1 Peter 3:8-22

Throughout His life, Jesus modeled for us what it truly is to be a "servant". May we always be conscious of this example that He set. May we always strive to follow Jesus' lead. Homework for next week: Read 1 Peter 2:4-10.

The time we spend here on this earth is only temporary....time spent living in a "strange" land that is not our final, true home. Homework for next week: Read 1 Peter 2:11-3:7.

Understanding Islam: My experiences living in a muslim country and how we as Christians can share the Love of Jesus with Muslims.

One of the fastest growing religions in the world is Islam. There are predictions that the Islamic faith will be the dominant faith even in European countries. In ever growing numbers, Islam is having its impact here also in the USA. In spite of those facts, many of us do not understand the Islamic faith nor do we understand how to reach out to them. Angela Oldenburg will share with us her experiences living in a Muslim country....their family spent four years living in Saudia Arabia in the midst of the Muslim culture.

Sometimes it's tough to find the courage to talk about our faith and stand up for what we know is right. May God help us all realize it's important for us to always witness for Christ! Homework for next week: Read 1 Peter 1.
