We all have an appetite....the desire to satisfy any need or craving....of some sort. As we journey through life, we realize that if we don't control our appetites, they can control us! Hear about how God's grace can teach us to say "no" to ungodliness.

It's hard to rebuke your kids for sins you don't want to confront in yourself. However, discipline is part of loving your children. We must point our children and others in our lives to the cross in order to see where true love and forgiveness flows.

How many times have we trusted our own ways rather than God's ways? Despite this reliance on ourselves rather than God, how many times has God 'reached out to grab us' in a variety of ways in order to direct us back to His will for our lives? As you listen to this podcast about the life of Lot, think about how you see yourself in him.

Stand firm and you will see that the Lord is ALWAYS there for you....to help you in distress, to fight for you, to enable you to move on, and most importantly to save you.

In this week's "Moses Mentality", we learned that our Creator has made us exactly how He intended. God is our Helper who will always be with us through all life has to offer. He will be there to teach us what to do and say.

A piece of contentment is knowing how to deal with people so that we can live with them and honor our God. We have a tremendous opportunity to witness to people as we live our faith.....by keeping our eyes always fixed on God we can find true contentment in all areas of life!

The sheer fact that God is in control of all things brings us joy. Guard yourselves against the things that threaten this joy!

We have unity through Christ....we are in this together! We are united to our brothers and sisters through faith. We are here to help each other with life's challenges and celebrations!

This week begins our study of the Book of Philippians. Remember the jail time Paul spent in Philippi? Do you realize he wrote this letter while under arrest in Rome? If YOU were the one under arrest, how fondly would you recall your time spent behind bars? Thankfulness is ALL SITUATIONS flows from Christ!
