"Pride comes before the Fall". We've all heard that yet pride is still one of the easiest stumbling blocks to fall over... it seems to be the root of a lot of sin in life! However, in today's message, pastor Matt takes us into Philippians where we look at the example Christ sets at overcoming pride. If we can really stop to be self aware and realize it's not all about us, we can truly see the value in others and ultimately give glory to God!

It seems that we’re naturally bent towards overly consuming good and bad things. However, this is not how we are called to live. Today we look at Philippians 3 where our relationship with the things of the world is clearly laid out. Today Michael Poorman joins us brining the message. We look at a parable from the book of Luke and how sometimes when we try to have everything, we can end up with nothing. Although it's human nature to want to take more than you need, we can train ourselves to budget for generosity and favor stories over stuff. The kingdom of God prioritizes generosity rather than greed.

Sometimes we might think we aren't worthy, but the book of Hebrews makes it clear that we are new creations. God sees us through a new lens... and He calls us to look through that same lens! Today Betsy Schoenthaler teaches that looking through this lens takes laying our baggage at the feet of Jesus and keeping our eyes fixed on Him.
We are truly opposed by very real evil forces. However, if we can be alert and dig in our heels spiritually, we can overcome! Today Pastor Matt shares some practical ways we can combat the Devil’s schemes and we pull some biblical keys to success out of 1 Peter chapter 5.

In this second message in our Targeted series, we dive into the book of Galatians chapter 5. Our teacher today, Stephanie Stanger, helps us pull some practical ways we can overcome the temptations of the flesh. It might be an uncomfortable topic to dive into, but if we can change our focus and get serious about denying our flesh, we can open up the door to let God lead us.
