Based on the true story of Australian war correspondent Peter Greste's imprisonment in Egypt in 2013, The Correspondent is a gripping thriller about journalism caught in political conflict.

While working for Al Jazeera, Peter Greste (played by Richard Roxburgh) was sent to Cairo to cover for a colleague over Christmas, what follows is a descent into a political  Kafkaesque nightmare in which Greste is collateral damage.
