We explore the guilt and fear of King Herod, the boldness of John the Baptist, and the tragic consequences of a compromised life. John spoke truth without fear, even when it meant confronting power—and it ultimately cost him his life. Meanwhile, Herod heard the truth, was intrigued by it, but refused to fully submit to it.
