In this episode of the 412 Students Podcast, we dive into one of the most intense and powerful moments in the Gospel of Mark — Mark 5:1–20. Jesus steps into Gentile territory and meets a man completely controlled by demons, living among tombs, isolated, violent, and hopeless. But one encounter with Jesus Christ changes everything.

As the disciples battle fear and exhaustion, Jesus sleeps—until He is awakened and speaks peace into the chaos with a word. This passage reveals not only Christ’s authority over creation, but also exposes the hearts of His followers. The storm outside mirrors the storm within, and Jesus’ gentle rebuke calls His disciples—and us—to deeper faith and trust. Ultimately, this text confronts us with the question that echoes across the boat: “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
