The Cost of Overexposure: When Too Much Access Diminishes Your Anointing
Episode 4 | Series: From Burnout to Boundaries to Breakthrough
Type: Solo Episode | Host: Todd Tononi
When everyone has access to you, fewer people value what you carry. In this solo episode, Todd dives into the high price of overexposure — emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
Through scripture, real talk, and practical strategies, he shares why access to your time, presence, and wisdom must be discerned, not distributed. If you've ever felt depleted by people-pleasing, drained by always being “on,” or guilty for protecting your peace — this episode is your permission slip to tighten the gate and guard what’s sacred.
Mark 1:35–38 (NIV):
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: ‘Everyone is looking for you!’
Jesus replied, ‘Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.’”
→ Jesus did not say yes to every need. He followed divine direction, not demand.
Proverbs 4:23 (NIV):
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
→ Overexposure often leaks from unguarded emotional gates.
This week, write down:
Pray:
“God, teach me to value what You’ve placed in me, and to protect it as sacred. Help me release the need to be everything to everyone — and instead, be faithful to what You’ve actually assigned.”
