High School
Jesus is the Greatest High Priest of all time.
1- Draw near, because He's the high priest that understands.
- What are some reasons you don't draw near to God?
- What are the reasons you feel like you can't?
- Jesus sympathizes with our weakness.
- Jesus is the mediator, the go-between that brings 2 parties together.
- The idea of approaching people in power. (White house story)
2 - Hold fast, because He's the high priest that reigns.
3 - Trust, because He's the high priest that saves.
- Source of eternal salvation.
Middle School
Christians have a CONNECTION in Jesus that understands and gives mercy, grace, & help.
Jesus is our connection to God, the reason why we can have a relationship with him.
- There are things that keep us from coming to Jesus, that break the connection.
- Fear & shame box. Living inside that box is terrible. Feeling trapped.
- But - Jesus understands. He gets it. Tempted in the same kinds of ways.
- Jesus is so gentle.
- He gives us 3 precious gifts: Mercy/grace/help!
- Help - binding up a ship that is falling apart.
- So when you’re falling apart, in your time of need, Jesus brings help.
- Come to Jesus. Come boldly. Without fear & shame.
