What do you know about the mighty Mûmakil?

You've seen them on the screen or read about them in the book, but what do you really know about them?

Where do they come from? How do the Hobbits know about their lore? When were they first used as artillery for war?

We are unravelling the mystery of the massive beasts today! 🐘

The mysterious and haunting beings in Tolkien's Middle-Earth that are too terrifying to be included in Peter Jackson's films.

We don't shy away from them here as we discuss the story of the hobbits creepy encounter with them! 💀 Where did the spirits originally come from? Why are they protecting the burial grounds? Why didn't they take the Ring and where does their allegiance lie?

We answer all of these questions and even discuss some possible names of the Barrow-Wights that we know about! The scariest part about this episode as always is the stupid jokes and puns heard throughout, enjoy! 😁

The Two Trees of Valinor, The Line of White Trees from Numenor to Gondor, The Hobbits' beloved Party Tree.

We are leaf-ing no twig unturned in this jam-packed episode as we discuss one of Tolkien's favourite things on this planet and his Middle-Earth.

Did you know Ents aren't really Tree-ish at all? Or that Peter Jackson had some incredible Easter Eggs in his films involving the Elves gigantic Mallorn Trees in The Fellowship of the Ring?

Strap in for a truly tree-ific listen and breakdown of one of the most important symbolic aspects of The Lord of the Rings! 🌳

We answer all these plus a lot more in this discussion and have our usual banter so please join our council!

Hold onto your Helms as we continue our dive into one of Tolkien's most inspirational leaders of Men, in Part II of our chat all about the Leader of the Horse men of Rohan.

In this episode Johnny and Dave get into the nitty-gritty details of King Theoden's early life before becoming the Man we meet in The Two Towers. We discuss his greatest moments on the Battlefield looking in depth at both Great battles to feature in the Lord of the Rings - The Battle for Helm's Deep and the Battle of the Peleannor Fields. We also have our usual banter and talk about little-known tidbits about both Theoden and the late-great Bernard Hill.
