  • Bucs STUN Cowboys, Cleveland ties ALDS & Football Picks - The Counter Full Episode - October 9, 2026

WE STILL KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered Thursday Night Football 0–4, starting an undrafted rookie quarterback against a Dallas Cowboys team favored by 8.5 points.

So naturally, Tampa Bay walked into Dallas and WON.

Bucky Irving rushed for 165 yards, the Cowboys committed three turnovers, and the Buccaneers pulled off a stunning 24–16 upset. HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!

Meanwhile, chaos erupted in Chicago as the Cleveland Guardians scored SIX runs in the sixth inning to beat the White Sox 9–5, forcing a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday. The winner advances to face the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS.

But today, I'm making up for last Friday's canceled episode with our biggest Picks and Previews show yet!

In college football, I'm calling for Nebraska to upset defending national champion Indiana in Lincoln, USC to walk into Penn State's Whiteout and WIN, and Alabama to take down Georgia in Tuscaloosa. Plus, Red River, Texas A&M–Missouri, UCLA–Oregon, and LSU–Kentucky.

Then we turn to the NFL, where I'm making some BOLD predictions.

Seven college games. Thirteen Sunday NFL games. Winners and spreads.

And after everything we've seen this season?

I have no idea how I'll do...

  • RAYS SWEEP THE YANKEES, Dodgers-Brewers NLCS & TNF- The Counter Full Episode - October 8, 2026

THE YANKEES ARE GOING TO CANCUN.

The Tampa Bay Rays just SWEPT the New York Yankees out of the postseason, and I'm having some fun with this one.

Tampa never trailed in the entire ALDS. Drew Rasmussen nearly no-hit New York in Game 1. The Yankees committed four errors in Game 2. And then Game 3 turned into complete chaos at Yankee Stadium.

Ryan Vilade took advantage of the short porch. Victor Mesa Jr. launched a 401-foot bomb. Nick Martinez left after taking a comebacker to the back. Anthony Volpe appeared to hit a game-tying home run until replay showed fan interference and overturned it. Then Bryan Baker shut the door in the ninth.

    Final destination: CANCUN.

Elsewhere in October, Cleveland's offense suddenly came alive with nine runs to avoid elimination against the White Sox, including a bases-clearing triple from Jo Adell, while Guardians pitching struck out Chicago 19 times.

And the NLCS is set. Milwaukee finished off San Diego 3-1 behind a huge night from Garrett Mitchell, including his robbery of Manny Machado's potential game-tying home run in the eighth. It's Brewers-Dodgers for the NL pennant.

Finally, Thursday Night Football is here, which unfortunately means I have to watch the 0-4 Buccaneers again. Jalon Daniels gets his first road start against Dallas, and while I don't trust Tampa to win, I also don't trust the Cowboys enough to cover 8.5.

  • Lane Johnson RETIRES, Dodgers lead 2-1 & Padres survive - The Counter Full Episode - October 7, 2026

Lane Johnson is calling it a career, four games into the season.

Johnson announced his retirement Tuesday after 14 seasons with the Eagles, ending one of the greatest careers by an offensive lineman in franchise history.

Six Pro Bowls. Five All-Pro selections. Three NFC championships. Two Super Bowl rings. And for more than a decade, Johnson and Jason Kelce formed the backbone of an offensive line that helped define an era of Eagles football.

But the timing is stunning. Johnson missed Sunday’s loss to the Rams for personal reasons before announcing Tuesday that his priorities had changed and that focusing on his mental health had become critical. And now an Eagles offense that already hasn’t looked right has another enormous problem to solve.

Then I head to October baseball.

The Dodgers are one win away from the NLCS after beating Atlanta 3–1 behind seven dominant innings and 10 strikeouts from Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Kiké Hernández and Freddie Freeman went deep, and now the Braves face elimination with Tyler Glasnow waiting in Game 4.

And somehow, the Padres are still alive.

San Diego entered Game 3 down 2–0 in the series, lost closer Mason Miller to the paternity list shortly before first pitch, and STILL survived Milwaukee 4–3. Michael King, two days removed from starting Game 2, closed it out after the Brewers put runners on first and second with one out in the ninth. Christian Yelich came to the plate with a chance to save Milwaukee.

    Double play.

    Game over.

    Padres survive.

And now four teams enter Wednesday facing elimination.

    Tonight could absolute chaos.

  • Falcons DOMINATE Saints, Rays & White Sox go up 2-0 - The Counter Full Episode - October 6, 2026

Somehow, I picked the Falcons to pull off ANOTHER upset… and somehow, it cashed again.

Atlanta absolutely demolished New Orleans 45–24 on Monday Night Football, and suddenly the team that looked dead two weeks ago has scored 80 points in its last two games. Bijan Robinson went off again, Michael Penix played clean football, and Kevin Stefanski suddenly has this offense rolling.

So what the hell happened to the Falcons? And are they actually good? Maybe. But four weeks into the NFL season, I think we’re learning once again that we still know absolutely nothing.

Then we head to October baseball, where the Rays have the Yankees on the ropes. New York committed four errors, including three in the first inning.

Tampa finally gave its pitching staff some run support, and the Rays won 5–2 to take a 2–0 ALDS lead. Now they head to the Bronx, and I’m putting this on the record: if the Rays lose Game 3, I think they lose the series. Max Fried is waiting Wednesday, Carlos Rodón could follow, and Tampa cannot afford to give the Yankees life.

Meanwhile, the White Sox did exactly what they needed to do in Cleveland. Chicago survived 11 strikeouts from Gavin Williams, won Game 2 4–3 and now heads home one win away from the ALCS. A win Wednesday would also give the White Sox their first home playoff series clincher since the 1906 World Series.

And tonight, the National League takes over. Yoshinobu Yamamoto faces Chris Sale with Dodgers-Braves tied 1–1, while the Brewers head to San Diego looking to finish off the Padres.

October is here. The Falcons might be back. And apparently my upset picks keep cashing.

  • WE STILL KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL - The Counter Full Episode - October 5, 2026

Arizona State just gave up 55 POINTS AT HOME, and I was there to watch it happen.

After three days away from the show, I'm back with one of the wildest football weekends of the season.

I start with the Arizona State rant I've been waiting all weekend to give after Baylor walked into Tempe and demolished the Sun Devils 55–19. DJ Lagway accounted for five touchdowns, ASU's defense looked lifeless, and with road games against Texas Tech and BYU still coming, I have some serious questions about where this season is headed.

Then we go around college football. Alabama dropped 56 on Mississippi State and looks like one of the best teams in America again. Jeremiah Smith exploded for 206 receiving yards against Iowa. Missouri stunned Florida 45–17.

Kentucky went for two in overtime at South Carolina and won. And Miami went into Death Valley and embarrassed Clemson 41–13.

My college picks? Somehow 7–2 outright, and 3–6 against the spread. Apparently I know who's going to win. I just have no idea by how much.

Then we get to the NFL, and remember what I said after Week 3?

    WE KNOW NOTHING.

    Well, we STILL know nothing.

Deonte Banks turned Arizona's potential game-winning drive into a 98-yard pick-six. Houston somehow fell to 0–4 after another heartbreaking one-score loss. Jacksonville improved to 3–1. Drake Maye made me eat every word I said about him by going into Buffalo and beating Josh Allen. Kenneth Walker scored two touchdowns in 19 seconds. And Tetairoa McMillan absolutely exploded on Sunday Night Football with 14 catches, 192 yards and two touchdowns as Carolina upset Detroit.

I also preview Falcons–Saints on Monday Night Football, where I'm calling the upset: Atlanta +1.5 AND Atlanta outright.

And finally, October baseball is here. Drew Rasmussen flirted with a postseason no-hitter for Tampa Bay, the Braves answered the Dodgers, and Milwaukee produced one of the craziest finishes of the weekend against Mason Miller.

After four weeks of football, there's only one thing I know for sure.

    WE KNOW NOTHING.

  • Astros, Cubs, Red Sox go home & Steelers-Browns preview - The Counter Full Episode - October 1, 2026

The MLB Wild Card round was absolute CHAOS. and somehow, I'm still perfect.

The White Sox stunned Houston, knocking Hunter Brown out before he could even finish the first inning before Chase Meidroth’s three-run shot put the Astros away for good.

The Yankees absolutely demolished Boston, outscoring the Red Sox 18–2 across two games. And the Padres held the Cubs to ONE RUN in the entire series.

That puts my Wild Card picks at 3–0.

    The only one left? Philadelphia.

The Phillies looked done, trailing Atlanta 3–1 with six outs left. Then Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper went back-to-back, Alec Bohm went oppo in the 10th, and Andrew Painter finished the game with an ABS challenge that turned ball four into strike three.

Phillies-Braves now goes to a winner-take-all Game 3, and my Phillies-in-three pick is still alive.

Then I turn to Thursday Night Football, where Pittsburgh heads to Cleveland for some classic AFC North football. The Steelers are 2–1. The Browns are 2–1. Pittsburgh probably SHOULD win this game.

But something about Cleveland will not leave me alone.

So what am I gonna do after picking a TNF upset last week?

Give me the Browns outright. Give me Cleveland +2.5. And give me an absolutely disgusting 16–13 final.

  • October Baseball is BACK! - The Counter Full Episode - September 30, 2026

October baseball is finally here, and Wild Card Day 1 was absolute chaos.

Austin Riley rescued the Braves with a three-run homer off Jhoan Duran in the eighth inning.

The White Sox walked into Houston and moved one win away from completing the sweep I called before the series.

Meanwhile in the Bronx, Cam Schlittler completely shut down Boston while Ben Rice exploded in a 9–0 Yankees win.

And out west, Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado and Xander Bogaerts brought Slam Diego back as the Padres demolished the Cubs 8–0.

    Today, I'm going all baseball.

I break down all four Wild Card openers, the biggest moments from Tuesday, and what happens next as Philadelphia, Houston, Boston and Chicago all enter Game 2 with their seasons on the line.

    October has arrived.

    And we're just getting started.

  • Bears beat Eagles, JJ McCarthy & my MLB Bracket! - The Counter Full Episode - September 29, 2026

The MLB postseason is HERE, and I’m making the mistake of putting every single one of my predictions on the record.

But first... WHAT was that in Chicago?

The Eagles walked into Soldier Field 2–0 against a Bears team without Caleb Williams and got absolutely embarrassed. Case Keenum threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, Chicago won 27–7, and Philadelphia turned the ball over three times while scoring just seven points. So yeah... I need to talk about that.

Then J.J. McCarthy is somehow a New York Giant. I wasn’t high on McCarthy coming out of Michigan, and now I have to figure out what exactly the Giants think they’re getting, especially with Jaxson Dart still part of their future.

    And finally...

    OCTOBER BASEBALL.

The 2026 MLB postseason starts today, so I’m filling out my ENTIRE bracket on the show. White Sox–Astros. Red Sox–Yankees. Phillies–Braves. Cubs–Padres. Then we go all the way through the Division Series, Championship Series and World Series.

And yes, the bracket gets completely out of control.

Then I make the pick that I may regret for the rest of October...

Screenshot the bracket. Save the tape. If I’m wrong, we never speak of this again.

    If I’m right?

    WE ARE PULLING THE TAPE.

  • CFB & NFL chaos, AP Poll & Eagles-Bears preview - The Counter Full Episode - September 28, 2026

What did we actually learn from this weekend?

    Honestly? NOTHING.

College football gave us absolute chaos. No. 1 Texas survives Tennessee 20–17 after Faizon Brandon gets sacked TEN times. Iowa wins at Michigan on the final play of the game. Florida runs for 302 yards and absolutely destroys No. 4 Ole Miss. And Mississippi State is 4–0 after Kamario Taylor throws for 360 yards and three touchdowns in a comeback win over Missouri. Starkville is alive again, and now No. 7 Alabama is coming to town.

I also break down Oregon’s win over USC, Dante Moore’s concussion and Desman Stephens' suspension, Wisconsin stunning Penn State, Wake Forest upsetting Louisville, Utah bullying Iowa State, LSU crushing Texas A&M and the new AP Poll.

Then somehow the NFL gets even crazier.

I called ONE outright underdog on Sunday: Denver.

The Broncos go down 16–0 at halftime and come all the way back to beat the Rams 30–26 behind two massive fourth-quarter interceptions from Talanoa Hufanga.

Baltimore and Dallas give us an instant classic in Rio. Washington shocks the defending champion Seahawks without Jayden Daniels. Buffalo turns the ball over FIVE TIMES and still wins. New Orleans turns it over four times and blows an 11-point lead. The Raiders are somehow 3–0. The Texans and Chargers are somehow 0–3.

Three weeks into the NFL season, there is only one conclusion:

    WE KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  • Falcons UPSET Packers at Lambeau + Picks & Previews! - The Counter Full Episode - September 25, 2026

    I CALLED IT.

The Falcons went into Lambeau Field as underdogs and didn't just beat the Packers. They destroyed them.

So yes, after last week's disastrous picks record, I'm taking the victory lap.

Then it's time for one of the craziest football weekends of the season.

College football gives us SIX ranked-on-ranked matchups, and I'm not playing it safe. I'm calling Tennessee to upset No. 1 Texas at Neyland, Iowa to knock off Michigan in the Big House, Florida to take down No. 4 Ole Miss in the Swamp, and Mississippi State to keep rolling at home against Missouri. Plus: Utah-Iowa State, Georgia-Oklahoma, Alabama-South Carolina, Oregon-USC and Texas A&M-LSU.

Then I move to the NFL, where the board is just as loaded. Can Joe Burrow survive another AFC North rock fight in Pittsburgh? Can the Chargers possibly hang with Josh Allen in Buffalo? Do the Jets keep Aaron Glenn's return to Detroit close, or even win? And what happens when Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry meet Dak Prescott and the Cowboys in Rio?

Plus, I'm ending the entire slate with one more upset call under the lights.

    Last week was ugly.

    This week already started 1–0.

    Time to make the comeback.
