As an Introvert it’s easy to feel as though you don’t quite fit in.
The world seems full of extroverts who love to tell us what’s wrong with us.
I once had a client who had paid about 10,000$ to spend the day with a guru.
Rather than understand what she was struggling with that was contributing to her lack of progress and creating a game plan that would work for her, he told her she didn’t have a big enough why and that’s the reason she hadn’t achieved her goals.
What we can find hard to deal with is accepting ourselves as we are, and creating a plan that works with and supports our core personality.
With me on this episode is Nicole Isler. Nicole is Chief Empowerment Officer and the founder of Guts, Grit, & Fire Community for sensitive visionaries. She’s a spiritual teacher, coach, light leader, and big-time dreamer.
She helps other dreamers in various industry segments bring their dreams into the world.
Her clients are struggling to deal with things like corporate responsibilities, toxic relationships, messy energy and messy emotions. She helps them close the gap from where they are to living their freedom and feeling fulfilled.
Remember my guests and I aren’t giving you specific advice. The information we’re sharing is for educational and entertainment purposes only. If you need help be sure to seek out a trained professional whether you need help in the financial, tax, business building, or physical or mental healthcare provider. If you feel triggered by anything in this episode please get help right away.
Listen in as Nicole and I discuss:
The difference between being sensitive and being easily offended And the difference between being emotional and being dramatic
Why embracing and owning your feelings is important to take back your power
Where beliefs come from and how to manage them
How to deal with negative experiences from the past that may have a hold over you
Our mission as spiritual beings
Why it’s not rejection when someone says no to working with you
Repurposing your life events
And The role of ego in listening to our intuition
As always, listen all the way to the end where I’ll share your cocktail exercise and action step for this episode.

One of the downsides to being self-employed is there are no sick days. Our health is incredibly important to us. As more than one health expert has said “Your health is your wealth.”
But we can get so caught up in work that our health can definitely suffer.
It’s why I think it’s important to address this topic as it relates to our physical, mental, and emotional health.
And just as we used to say back in the early days of computers – garbage in, garbage out.
We’re learning more and more about the impact of what we eat on gut health and the impact of gut health on our overall wellness. In this episode, the Ingredient Guru, Mira Deesy, helps us get educated about the complex subject that is the food we eat.
Mira is a nutrition professional, author, and a popular public speaker. She knows it’s not just what you eat but what’s IN what you eat that’s important.
She’s author of The Pantry Principle: How to read the label and understand what’s really in your food.
Mira is a board certified holistic health practitioner whose mission is to educate and empower consumers. She curates the premier organic Lean and Green Subscription box. The monthly box is full of earth-friendly, healthy, sustainable products that are good for you, the planet, and your home.
Mira is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Mira talked about hydration and later, sent me the following extra information for you:
We talked about the hydration factor. Here's how to figure out how much hydration you need.
First, write down your body weight.
Divide that in half for the number of ounces needed to be properly hydrated.
Divide that number by 8 to get the number of cups of fluid.
Take that number, divide it by four and then set a “hydration alarm” approximately every two hours.
When the alarm goes off set your liquid in front of you with the goal to drink it before the alarm goes off again.
Remember that this does not mean plain water. Too much water is not healthy either.
Soups, herbal teas, food with lots of liquid (like watermelon), plus water all count towards a daily hydration goal.
Also consider coconut water which is a perfectly balanced electrolyte beverage. Look for a brand with no additives.
You can learn more about hydrating foods on the blog.

SHOW NOTES
As a mission driven solo professional or micro-firm owner I’m sure you’re always looking for ways to get your message out easier, faster, and to an audience of people you know are interested in and even passionate about the same things you are. And it’s likely you’ve heard and maybe even already experienced the power of social networking groups to build community and to grow a business. In this episode leading expert Geriann Wiesbrook is going to talk about Facebook groups and share tips for growing and strengthening one.
Lots of people call themselves experts on the subject of using Facebook and building a group on Facebook but very very few are actually recognized as a community leader by Facebook itself.
Geriann is a Fellow in the Facebook Community Leadership program. This means she’s one of the top 115 group leaders on Facebook and she was selected from a pool of over 6000.
She’s been repeatedly recognized by Facebook since 2017 when she was invited to the first Facebook Communities Summit and became a member of the leadership team for a Facebook run, invitation-only leadership group. She is featured in training videos Facebook created and she participated in a round table on group and small business tools for growth with Facebook COO Sheryl Sandburg. Geri is also a frequent speaker at Facebook Leadership Circles in Chicago.
Geriann is the founder of Military Mama Network which started as a group on Facebook and is now a 501c organization. The group started in 2013 after Geriann recognized the needs of her Army recruit son and other US military members. MMN has grown to provide support to US troops and their families and maintains the Military Mama Network Facebook community.
MMN has a presence in all 50 states and chapters in several states. Their goal is to have chapters in all 50 states, enabling them to continue to serve our troops and veterans in a swift but personal manner

If you’re an entrepreneur, freelancer, solo professional who is also a former employee, the chances are very good that you’ve experienced some form of trauma at your past job.
Whether you’ve worked for abusive bosses or you’ve worked with difficult or even bullying peers, the chances are very good that you’ve experienced some type of emotional trauma at work and there’s also a good chance that trauma scarred you in some way.
In this episode,Tracey Maxfield recounts her experience with severe workplace bullying and how she’s using her experience to help children around the world.
Tracey is a nurse with over 37 years’ experience. She is certified in gerontology and dementia care and is a regular guest on well-known author and radio host Peter Rosenberger’s show Hope For the Caregiver on WLAC and iHeart Radio in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tracey experienced her first episode of clinical depression in her twenties and lived with chronic depression ever since. However, nothing prepared her for the acute depressive episode she experienced in 2015.
After enduring years of intense work place stress, harassment and bullying, she plummeted into an abyss of darkness, hopelessness and despair the likes of which she had never experienced before.
Encouraged by a psychologist, Tracey started a blog, Escaping the Rabbit Hole - my life with depression, to better help her friends understand her depression. Over time, she began to heal and found that out of the darkness and despair, there is hope, there is life after depression.
Since the release of the book (affiliate link) that grew out of her blog, Tracey has become a staunch advocate for mental illness and mental health awareness and bullying.
She has met with children, teenagers and young adults to talk about bullying and mental illness and was one of the breakout presenters at the TEACH 2019 Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her website was recently awarded the silver medal for Best Author Website 2019 at the eLit Awards and her book is a top 10 finalist in the Non-Fiction category at the Author Academy Awards. Tracey has appeared in over 60 podcasts in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and UK, live radio shows and on ABC, NBC and FOX News.
Her philosophy is to Engage children and teenagers, to Educate them about mental illness and bullying and to Empower them to develop confidence and skills to continue to move ahead in their own life journey.
Born in Wales, U.K. Tracey moved to Canada in 1987. Escaping the Rabbit Hole my journey through depression is her first book and has received international rave reviews.

Show Notes We start a business for lots of reasons including the opportunity to make a big impact and the opportunity to earn an unlimited income.
But having to price our offerings and services can fill us with anxiety and raise self-worth issues we didn’t even realize we had.
In fact, we come face to face with our own emotional crap.
And it doesn’t matter where you are in the business life cycle.
Each new level of business success brings up the issue of “am I good enough” and “do I really deserve to make this kind of money”.
In this episode Tai Goodwin talks about the struggle we have with pricing and how we’ve got to get past it to build momentum and truly build the sustainable, profitable business we dream of and deserve.
Tai is the CEO of Profit Momentum and founder of Profit Academy. One of the many reasons we start our businesses is to get the freedom we want to build a life and a lifestyle that brings us joy. Yet, building that foundation can be a challenge and we often come face to face with our own emotional crap.
In this episode, Alison Donaghey talks about her journey and the type of thinking that can hold female entrepreneurs back.
A single mom at 20, Alison eventually went from collecting welfare to running a thriving house painting business.
It took the 2008 recession for Alison to recognize that she had some holes to fill in her business and business-building knowledge.
The recession led her to recognize how critical thinking is key to every situation and she realized she had something other than painting to offer people and business owners.
She recognized her ability to look at a situation differently and anticipate potential outcomes was the seed that became Domino Thinking.
Allison is the author of the international best-selling book, Think opposite – using the domino effect to change your business and change the world”.
Today, Alison speaks to entrepreneurs, small business owners and coaches about the power of critical thinking.
She’s also the host of Domino Thinking. The show is designed to get listeners to think about a different perspective, to suspend their beliefs, and consider the opposite view point.

SHOW NOTES
If you’re a solo professional, freelancer, author, expert or even someone who runs a small firm, today’s topic may not be the most sexy thing to hear but it’s certainly among the most important topics you’ll hear.
You may have heard me talk about a friend of mine who ran a small firm that used contractors to do the work. There were periods of time in a year and during planning times when it was just her and her partner. When things went sour in their relationship he somehow got her connected to a lawsuit.
Just defending herself and getting herself removed from the situation cleaned out her savings account. Then terror attacks of September 11th happened and business took a nose dive. Then the crash of 2008 happened.
She was devastated.
I tell you that story because bad things happen to good people and as business professionals it’s important we take the steps to protect ourselves. And that’s what today’s episode is all about.
My guest today is ReeJade Richmond. She’s an acclaimed business and legal strategist who empowers women to embrace their true power bossness and turn their business into an empire.
From rock-solid business structures to impenetrable contracts, she shows them how to get legal, legit, and profitable.
A first-generation college graduate, ReeJade finished law school determined to live the fairytale that every up and coming attorney dreams of. Seven figure salary. Partnership. Presitge.
ReeJade landed a position with one of the top intellectual property firms in the Detroit Metro area and quickly earned her superstar spot, working on the continued preservation of Malcom X’s and Alex Haley’s heirs legacy. A complicated labor left her 1.3lb baby in the NICU and Reejade with complex health problems. She ended up bankrupt but risked it all to have it all. She’s committed to helping women build something big and understand all the words above the dotted line and the value of the assets that could make or break their bottom line.
Remember, my guests and I aren’t giving you professional advice.
The information we’re sharing is for educational and entertainment purposes only. If you need help be sure to seek out a trained professional whether it’s a financial advisor, tax professional, legal expert, or healthcare provider.
That being said, listen in as ReeJade and I discuss:
As always, listen all the way to the end where I’ll share your cocktail exercise and action step for this episode.
