Amanda Rouse is enrolled in the Personal Support Worker program at Fanshawe College. Before the novel coronavirus pandemic, she had two weeks left in her cooperative working placement until she would have received her certificate and graduated, allowing her to be hired as a PSW full-time.

Rouse is working during the pandemic, but has been told by the college that she will still have to complete the final two weeks of her placement before she can receive her certificate and graduate.

She is wondering why she is a good enough PSW to work during a global pandemic, but not good enough to graduate during one?
