Sonal Ramnath began her career as Human Resources professional and shifted her focus towards painting after over 7 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. Sonal explores culture and mythology through expressive portraits of her family and friends. There is a beautiful spiritual quality to Sonal’s work and today we will talk about the masculine and feminine energy and how to follow your intuition when it comes to creating art.

Her repertoire

has evolved overtime to focus upon the narrative of the subject. She has a thematic approach to building her body of work. While narrative becomes a primary focal point, she relies on color harmony, composition, expressive mark

making and textures that celebrate her characters. The compositions attempt to depict the emotional structure of the subjects and her art expresses the causality of her interactions with them. She is born and brought up in India, and currently resides in Goa, India with her husband and her daughter.

Rachel Brask is a contemporary abstract/impressionist Rhode Island painter. Her current work explores the sensation of looking out through windows during torrential rains. Through these “Abstracted Rainy Moments” paintings, Brask seeks to show people a fresh, hopeful perspective on rainy days. We also talk about how Rachel got through the grief from the loss of her father and how art helped her get through it.

She has exhibited in solo exhibitions, invitational and juried shows around New England, and her paintings are in private collections in around USA, UK, and Italy. She has developed her work at artist residencies in Maine, North Carolina, and Cape Cod. Rachel earned a B.A. in art from Houghton College. Tom Mosser is a Pittsburgh-based artist and the creator of the iconic canine “Museum Series” series. Print sales of the ongoing series have raised over $45,000 for a variety of rescue groups around the world. Better still, the series of paintings was inspired by a his iconic and viral portrayal of his dog Lucas, in his 2013 painting “A Golden Retriever at the Museum”. It is often referred to as the “Mona Lisa of Dog Paintings.”

Always looking for innovative themes, Tom creates logo paintings using his “Sports Ball Impressionism” and “Flow” techniques”. Work created with the techniques can be viewed at numerous sports arenas around the country and a multitude of private residences.
