The scene was set for the WNCL Finals after an enthralling regular sesaon, we were left with the Commonwealth Bank Victorian Spirit at the top of the ladder and scheduled to face arch rivals and the team searching for ten consecutive titles, the Lend Lease Breakers from NSW. In the other semi-final, it was the Breezair SA Scorpions up against the Konica Minolta QLD Fire with the winners to face off in the WNCL Final.
