Dan continues our reflection on the cross by exploring how Jesus did not react to the anxiety of those who sought to kill him, either by seeking to control them or by compromising himself. He was sufficiently secure in his relationship with his father to offer the love and forgiveness of God to them, and to us, even in the face of rejection, thereby enabling his followers to do the same to others.
