Zephaniah prophesied concerning Judah's coming destruction. The Lord was going to judge His people for their sin and rebellion.

The prophet's message was directed to the citizens of Judah to warn and prepare them for judgment; however, the message is also applicable to all people of every nation and generation.

God's Word teaches that a final day of judgment is coming when all people will be judged. Zephaniah's prophecy points to this day of final judgment, a day when the whole earth will be destroyed.

We who live today cannot know the exact day or hour of judgment. Still, God's Word has warned us that it will come swiftly and will take the human race by surprise. It will come as a thief in the night.

Unless you know Jesus Christ as your own Savior, you will have no place to hide.
