Christ took to the cross for a reason; to atone for the sin of all mankind, that of man seeking his own purpose rather than the Lord’s. When you embrace the cross, you realize that you rather are in the embrace of the Resurrected Ever Living Christ, with the surety of an eternity in, and with, Him! Hallelujah!
