This special event features an original song by Worship Ministry Intern Toby Henson, a powerful message brought by Preaching Intern Brennan Perkins, and heartfelt reflections from Student Ministry Intern Gracie Hickson and Kids Ministry Intern Kate Kelsey on their summer experience.

In this moving sermon, Preaching Intern Brennan Perkins unpacks Luke 17:11-19, where Jesus heals the ten lepers. After all ten leave to present themselves to the priest, as Jesus commanded, they were healed. Yet, only one returned, filled with thankfulness for what God had done. Brennan emphasizes the importance of gratitude and being the one who expresses thankfulness to God, relgardless of life’s circumstances. The sermon concludes by looking at the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from Daniel from Daniel 3. God ends up saving the three men from the fire, because of one reason- it glorified God. He will deliver us, but even if he does not… be the one because our gratitude glorifies God.
