A preacher once described religion as hanging around the Cross, but Christianity is getting on it. The Cross is the centrality of all we’re called to as believers. Without it, we’ve nothing except what Timothy calls "a form of godliness without the power" (2 Tim 3:5). Just as our Saviour and Lord embraced the Cross for us, He calls us to take up our Cross and follow Him. Our crucified Lord will have nothing short of a crucified bride.
