Deputy Faces Dogman

Dano sits down with Mike, a retired sheriff’s deputy from Alabama, who shares a firsthand encounter that occurred while he was actively responding to a 911 call reporting a violent animal attack. Dispatch advised that a vicious, unknown animal was attacking a group of Pitbulls, and Mike was en route to the scene when the situation took an unexpected turn.

While driving toward the call, a large white Dogman crossed the road directly in front of his patrol cruiser. Mike watched as the creature ran up a small hill and into an open field. Relying on training and instinct, he exited his vehicle and gave chase on foot.

Reaching the top of the hill, Mike realized the creature had stopped.

It turned around and faced him, standing motionless in broad daylight. Mike describes the moment as deeply unsettling—an intelligent presence locking eyes with him. Swamp Ape Encounter on Security Patrol

On this episode of The Cryptid Podcast, Dano sits down with Will from Florida to document a Class B Swamp Ape encounter that unfolded in Lee County in 2004—while Will was actively patrolling a large, private work area at night.
