This week, after 18 long years, River's mother unexpectedly reached out, stirring a whirlwind of emotions. They explore how this shaped River's childhood and continues to affect her as an adult, and where religion fits into her life now.

River was just 7 when her parents joined the cult, and she always felt a sense of not belonging within her own family.
