While banning platforms like TikTok could potentially be an attack on freedom of speech, TikTok itself is censoring people. After months of debating with myself about whether or not to create an account to increase my reach, I created a TikTok. Less than 24 hours later, I was permanently banned for “violating community guidelines” after posting ONE video discussing my interpretation of Harrison Butker’s “controversial” graduation speech at Benedictine College. What happened to freedom of speech, opinion, and expression?
