What's up listeners? We're back with another one! In this episode we have a conversation about sampling.
WIkipedia defines sampling as:
In music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds, or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated.
Sampling has become an art form in today's music, We take a little trip down music history and pull our favorite sampled original works and talk about their many influences over the years. Some of your favorite songs very likely had roots that you had no clue of! Please join us as we celebrate music!
