Anxiety is at an all-time high in our world right now. Have you been dealing with it lately? The thing I hate the most is that anxiety can paralyze all of us and wreak havoc on our lives. It strikes when we least expect it and seems to last forever. The truth is, prayer can change that!
Many individuals in the Bible dealt with anxiety! Yes, individuals like David, Job, Martha, Jonah, Moses, and even Jesus, experienced some form of anxiety during tough times. Famines, constant war, and corrupt leadership were just a few things they were dealing with back then! So, anxiety was as much of a struggle back then as it is now.
We might not be able to eliminate situations that produce anxiety, but we can be better prepared to deal with them when they arise! Even during uncontrollable chaos, you can have peace. Invite God into your situation and share your struggles and fears with Him. Let the joy of the Lord overwhelm you, and watch how your anxiety diminishes. God brings us peace even during our most chaotic moments.
So today, when anxiety strikes, stop and pray. Choose to focus on the solution, which is Jesus, and allow the peace of God to overwhelm you wherever you are!
