Your home is where you sleep, recover, raise a family, and spend a huge portion of your life. But how much do you actually know about the environment inside it?
B.D. Erickson sits down with Jonathan Farrar, founder of JF Healthy Homes, to examine the hidden environmental factors he looks for when assessing a home.
Jonathan breaks down mold and biotoxins, indoor air quality, VOCs, off-gassing, drinking water, plumbing materials, EMFs, dirty electricity, wiring problems, and the sleep environment. He also explains his building-biology approach of treating the home as an interconnected ecosystem rather than looking at each potential issue in isolation.
Jonathan shares the personal health challenges that led him into healthy-home work, along with real examples from homes he has assessed, including one bedroom where he measured an unusually high electric field and eventually traced it back to a wiring issue.
The conversation also gets practical. Jonathan shares simple ways families can begin evaluating and improving their environment without trying to create a perfect home or becoming overwhelmed by everything around them.
Jonathan Farrar is the founder of JF Healthy Homes, a healthy-home consulting and assessment company focused on helping families better understand their indoor environments. His work grew out of his own family's experience investigating environmental factors inside their home. Today, his approach incorporates building biology and evaluates areas including mold, indoor air, water, building materials, EMFs, dirty electricity, and other conditions that can affect the quality of a home's environment.

What does a non-toxic home actually look like?
B.D. Erickson sits down with Warren Phillips, better known as The Non-Toxic Dad, to break down the everyday exposures Warren pays attention to inside his own home and around his family.
From plastic cutting boards and cookware to clothing, indoor air, drinking water, food, EMFs, and dirty electricity, Warren shares practical changes people can make throughout the home.
The discussion also takes a closer look at Warren’s own electrical environment after B.D. and the Satic Shield team assessed his home, measured problem areas, and addressed dirty electricity and electromagnetic fields in spaces where his family spends the most time.
Warren also shares his background as an environmental scientist, his approach to raising a family with fewer unnecessary exposures, and the habits he believes can help people build healthier environments without becoming overwhelmed.

A healthy home involves more than what we can see.
B.D. Erickson joins Dr. Daniel Pompa at his home to examine electromagnetic fields, dirty electricity, grounding, electrical wiring, solar, and the electrical environment surrounding his family every day.
After testing more than 80 outlets, checking individual circuits, examining the electrical panels, measuring around the bedroom, and evaluating the home's grounding system, the team identified several areas worth addressing.
The measurements around Dr. Pompa's bed became particularly interesting. After mitigation, the team recorded a significant reduction in the electrical field they were measuring.
Dr. Pompa also connects the electrical environment with his decades of work focused on cellular health and discusses where EMFs fit alongside sleep, nutrition, sunlight, grounding, hydration, and other areas of wellness.
They also explore grounding mats, current on the home's ground, solar systems, power quality, and the importance of measuring a home's electrical environment before assuming everything is operating as intended.

Buying solar involves more than choosing panels.
Understanding tax credits, tax liability, and long-term financial planning can have a major impact on the value homeowners receive from their investment.
This discussion explores common misconceptions surrounding residential solar, explains why so many people misunderstood the federal tax credit, and looks at financial strategies that could shape the next generation of solar ownership.
Whether you're thinking about going solar or already own a system, understanding the financial side is just as important as understanding the technology.

What's the biggest misconception you've heard about solar tax credits?
Leave a comment below and follow The Current Truth for more conversations about health, energy, technology, and the future of clean energy.
The solar industry is entering a new chapter.
With the 30% residential solar tax credit ending after 2025, a lot of homeowners and solar companies are asking the same question: can solar survive without it?
BD Erickson and Ben LeGrow from Static Solar break down why they believe solar may actually become stronger in 2026 and beyond. They cover the mistakes the industry made, why tax credits were often misunderstood, how rising electricity demand from AI and data centers could reshape the market, and why clean, efficient solar installs matter more than ever.
Luxury homes are changing.
Today's homeowners want more than beautiful architecture and smart technology. They want homes that are energy efficient, thoughtfully designed, and built with long-term health in mind.
B.D. Erickson sits down with Brent Bohrer, owner of Modern International Builders, to discuss how luxury construction is evolving beyond aesthetics. From clean architectural design and natural light to smart home technology, dirty electricity, EMFs, and energy management, the conversation explores what it means to build homes for the future.
Brent shares how his experience building Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, and Land Rover dealerships shaped his approach to luxury home design and why he's incorporating healthier electrical environments into the custom homes he builds today.
If luxury is about delivering the very best experience possible, should that include the quality of the electricity inside your home?

The residential solar industry is moving into a different phase.
Margins are tighter. Batteries are becoming essential. Energy demand is rising. Customers expect more. Installers are carrying more liability. And companies that used to see each other only as competitors are starting to realize that the industry needs more collaboration.
Mark Bench, CEO of TriSMART Solar and President of the Residential Energy Association, joins BD Erickson for a grounded conversation about where solar is headed next.
They talk about sales, installer economics, customer protection, battery storage, energy demand, dirty electricity, and what it takes to keep building when the industry gets difficult.
Solar is not dead.
It is becoming a broader energy conversation.
