In 1998 Thomas Vinterberg's burst on to the European art house scene with 'Festen', a film that peeled away the papered cracks in a family until they broke apart. After the success of last years 'Far From the Madding Crowd', Vinterberg returns to his native Denmark for 'The Commune'.
