Despite its size, this watch is surprisingly lightweight, and the blue rubber strap adds a laid-back, yet sophisticated vibe. It's also worth noting that AP measures their watches by the bezel, not the case, so this 44mm timepiece visually appears larger than a 44mm Rolex. The vibrant blue color ensures that this watch commands wrist presence and respect.

In conclusion, the Royal Oak Offshore is a safe investment if you purchase wisely. As big fans of the Royal Oak, especially the Offshore series, we give this watch a solid 9.6 out of 10. It's a classy and elegant choice in the mid-40k range, perfect for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

In this episode, Chris reviews the Rolex Yacht-Master 126621.

This watch is available with either a chocolate or black dial, and today we're looking at a black dial example. The Yacht-Master is a solid choice in the $15,000 range on the secondary market, comparable in price to the Two-Tone Blusey 16613LB and the Two-Tone Sub 116613 with a black dial. Its wearability is similar to the Submariners, making it a tough decision for buyers at this price point.

However, the Yacht-Master distinguishes itself through its functionality and design purpose. Here's a bit of background and history:

First introduced by Rolex in 1992 at 40mm, the Yacht-Master was created as a luxury version of the Submariner. Rolex doesn't frequently introduce new models, with the exception of prototypes from 1967-1969, references 6239/6242. The Yacht-Master, initially nicknamed the "Albino Sub," eventually grew to 42mm but maintained its heritage as a nautical tool and watch, contrasting with the Submariner, which is a diving tool and watch.

The Yacht-Master is known to hold its value well, though it isn't expected to increase significantly in value. Chris particularly likes the two-tone version for its versatility and touch of gold, making it a great dressier watch for everyday wear, whether you're going out, having dinner, wearing a jacket or suit, attending formal events, hitting the gym, or even going to the beach.

Overall, we rate this watch a solid 8.8 out of 10, compared to the 8 out of 10 for the ice blue dial version.

Movement: Unlike the in-house B01 movement, Breitling uses the outsourced ETA 2893-2 movement for this model. It’s not a major issue, but it's good information to know.

Design: The chronograph is omitted, yet the balanced dial is preserved. The centralized 24-hour scale on the GMT keeps a streamlined look. Breitling claims the Navitimer is the most recognizable watch since 1952, though some might argue Rolex's Submariner holds that title. These watches do wear big, and I’ve had my fair share of bumps and knocks wearing a 46mm model.

- Unisex pilot's watch, 41mm (available in 32-48mm)

- MSRP: $5,850 + tax (~$6.3k total)
