Dan co-created and co-facilitates the Musical Responses & Collaborative Responses (MRCE) programme with Annie Gardiner at BIMM Bristol, currently is now in its 4th year. 

MRCE was featured at the 2019 Research In Music Education Conference, and the pair are undertaking multiple research projects rooted in the fields of improvisation and creative development in Higher Education.

In the past Dan has played live with Yama Warashi, Gnod & Anthony Childs (Surgeon), James Morton, Loick Essien, Faith Bekoe, as well as being an in-demand improviser involved with numerous outfits in Bristol. 

He has worked as drum technician for Zigaboo Modeliste (the Meters) & Ralph Rolle (Chic), recorded with multiple albums & singles with Run Logan Run, EP/64, qariaq, all on top of being an active solo artist.

Robin Allender is a musician and stand-up comedian from Bristol, UK. He has played with Gravenhurst, Yann Tiersen, Landslide Purist and The Revival Hour among others, and has released numerous albums of his own folk-influenced music.

Emma started to play the drums when she was 11. She initially trained in a marching band on the snare drum, before subsequently moving on to playing the full kit in bands and orchestras both in and outside of school.

It wasn't until Emma moved to Bristol in 2014 that she began to pursue a new career exclusively in music. Shortly after arriving, she became the house drummer for the Leftbank jam band before going on to play in a multitude of ensembles throughout the City.

Emma is also a percussionist and regularly plays the cajon, bodhran and frame drum for folk projects as well as contemporary dance. She has worked with a vast range of international choreographers and dancers including Glenn Wilkinson, Bartek Woszczynski, Bawren Tavaziva, Anna Watkins, Ben Dunks and Charlotte Eatock.

Mike Mongiello is a cymbal and gong maker in the prototype phase of his journey towards becoming a full-time independent smith.
