“I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel.” Those were some of the last words spoken on Game of Thrones, the series hailed as one of the best dramas ever on TV, and perhaps the last major television cultural phenomenon we’ll have, at least in the traditional sense. (Caution: Major spoilers ahead.) It sort of happens like a horror show.

CANNES, France—According to the lingo of the entertainment industry, Robert Eggers’s new film The Lighthouse, which premiered at Cannes on Sunday as part of the Directors’ Fortnight sidebar, is a “long-awaited” follow-up to The Witch, the director’s innovative debut horror film.

There is a very hot priest in the new season of Fleabag. It’s of great import, how very hot this priest is. It throws everything off its axis. First Fleabag herself, played by the show’s creator and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and then, in turn, you as a viewer. The hot priest changes everything, helping Fleabag not necessarily find God, but, perhaps more significantly, find herself.

When Jon Stewart announced that he was stepping down as host The Daily Show in early 2015, there was one name that floated to the top of the list for those whose job it is to wildly speculate about who might succeed him: Samantha Bee. The thing about an OK glass of wine is that, sure it’s not the best, but it’s still going to make your day more enjoyable. You could even argue that it’s easier to enjoy, because there’s no pressure to savor it or appreciate it or identify the notes of vanilla, green apple, and jasmine. In the trailer for his new stand-up special, comedian Nick DiPaolo labels his anti-P.C. material “too ‘dangerous’ for Netflix” and “too ‘honest’ for Comedy Central.” Evidently, neither platform was willing to pay DiPaolo for his new hour—titled “A Breath of Fresh Air”—so he decided to give it away to fans for free on YouTube.
