Monday, January 9 2023. This evening I all of a sudden became aware of and humbled by the fact that I have an entire team of organs that relentlessly tirelessly have have beat, filtered, cleansed, pumped and circulated. No thanks to me, I dare say, over the years I have given them alcohol, cigarette smoke, fast food, junk food, and no end of stress to contend with. I have built myself an ego and guarded it like a prized bone. All the while oblivious to the real heroes in my life. The Oregon's playing to the tune of me every second of every day and night. Who am I to wake up each day and pull off the same old stunts I did yesterday, to drone on and on like this, as if this is good enough, as if I couldn't be so much better, with even just a tiny bit more effort. I owe this amazing team something more than to eat digest bird poo and piss a shocking statement. Yes, but on most days, it's true. There is not much more to me than this. But today I am in awe and deep gratitude for the continuous hard work of this organic team.
